????????accurate?report of the outcome of the defamation suit.

3.???? As had been reported, Nelson Isurina Mariano II had sued PowerChess Asia Pte Ltd for?
????????defamation regarding?a?Notice which had been published on our website on 3 August 2008.?
????????In his?claim against?PowerChess?Asia Pte Ltd, Nelson Isurina Mariano II alleged that the Notice?
?????????meant and/or was understood?to mean that [Nelson Isurina Mariano II] is:
????????a. incompetent to coach and conduct chess lessons;
????????b. a trouble maker and outcast;
????????c. in dire financial circumstances;
????????d. the chess players coached by [Nelson Isurina Mariano II] faired (sic) badly;
????????e. a thief, liar and an untrustworthy person with low moral values and
????????f. intentionally poached [Power Chess Asia Pte Ltd?s] chess players.?

4.???? The reports on the internet wrongly report that the Court found all of the above statements untrue.?
????????The Court had, in fact, only granted judgment to Nelson Isurina Mariano II in respect of items (b)?
????????and (e).?Prior to the Court delivering its judgment, Nelson Isurina Mariano II's lawyers had written?
????????to the Court?and to?our lawyers on 8 December 2009 to confirm that, in light of an earlier?Court?
????????hearing?on 17?November??2009, Nelson Isurina Mariano II would not be proceeding on?items (a), (c),?
????????(d) and (f)?of his?claim ?that [Nelson Isurina Mariano II] is:
????????(i) incompetent to coach and conduct chess lessons;
????????(ii) in dire financial circumstances;
????????(iii) the chess players coached by [Nelson Isurina Mariano II] faired (sic) badly; and
????????(iv) intentionally poached [PowerChess Asia Pte Ltd?s] chess players.?
